There is no doubt about it. Chocolate Candy Bars Give Me Acid Reflux. I have learned this lately due to my holiday eating habits. Yes the holiday food gets me into what I like to call eating shape. It’s almost like I am in training for eating. Have any idea what I’m talking about?
It’s due to eating mass amounts of food during the holiday season as I am sure many of you do. It starts with Thanksgiving with a big meal. Let’s be real here. It’s more than a big meal. It is a massive meal. Good ole’ turkey and dressing and lots of bread. That is the way it starts. Then some brownies which are full of sugar and fat and I am on my way to gaining weight.
Then somehow I find myself skipping the gym. Why? I cannot explain it really. Then my eating habits get worse. I start eating an occasional chocolate candy bar. Then the next day I eat another. Then I realize, that this tasty little treat is giving me massive acid reflux. to the point where it lasts most of the day.
This does not help when I eat an occasional fast food meal or some Chinese food at a local buffet either.
I recover by avoiding the candy bars and getting back into better eating habits. As stated on this website, chocolate and other sweets can give you a queasy stomach. It’s one of the very foods you should avoid if you are susceptible to an upset stomach. Even more so for me since acid reflux is now part of the equation.
That is what this article is all about. Just putting out more information on the internet and hopefully it will somehow help someone. That’s what it’s all about. Maybe through my experiences someone will read something that will be of benefit to them. Even if I am the guinea pig.
Happy Holidays Everyone.
